You're not a big "bible person," eh? Well let me break it down for you.

Imagine you held something in extremely high regard. In fact, it was pretty much a "sacred" thing to you. Then, some asshole made a movie about the thing you held sacred. The movie portrayed your sacred thing in a really shitty light. I mean, like, really shitty light.

How would you feel about that movie? Now you know how millions of bible believing people feel about Noah, the movie you thought was "pretty good."

If you didn't see "the Fountain" yet, it's a very nice spritual movie, starring Rachel Weisz and Hugh Jackman, Also a vert good movie by Darren Aranovsky is "Requim for a Dream" starring also Jennifer Connely and a very good Jared Leto (also frontman 30 Seconds to Mars )

I've heard a bit about the movie now, interested to see it, and whether the opinion I've formed will remain after seeing it.
It sounds to me like a new-age white-wash on a Biblical event.
I'll probably wait till its out on dvd though.

I have seen Requiem for a dream a few times...that one is tough to watch...but I will def check out The fountain thank you :)

I was gonna wait too...but after my son said I want to see that movie with you mom...well I was like damn really? okay... So we went. lol

but it was pefect timing for me too...I walked away feeling good about it and the money spent. I walked away with no worries for some reason. I am throwing all of the nasty shit from the past few days away...gone into the trash :)

Let me school some of you to this game of spiritual warfare. Those "fallen angels" in that movie weren't just some fairy tale character added for dramatic effect. THOSE ARE REAL BEINGS/ENTITIES and they are still around TODAY.

Those beings are amongst us right now and for those who don't know better, they can't tell who's friend and who's foe. However some of us with discernment can...easily and without error.

OP liking this movie so much and getting all in their e-feelings over those who disagree with that assessment is interesting. The moment you challenge the OP on the accuracies of this movie as compared to the real screenplay (THE BIBLE) they cry foul and don't want to address it.

Well, the movie was planted AT THIS TIME for a very specific reason, and I will just leave it at that.

we said it was a great movie but then I asked him what he learned from the movie. What is the one thing he walked away with. First thing was mom...I don't want to eat meat anymore...then a discussion followed about that. I then asked him about Noah's decison with the babies...Then he said it's love mom...believe in yourself and listen to your heart. That's what Noah did...

I am glad we went.

I like the bible and believe but if the movies make one not like bacon, I best stay away. If the movie made you and you're son not eat bacon I applaud, every less bacon eater makes more bacon for me! =LOL

I am sure the movie is well acted and great effects and named anything other than "noah" I think it would have been fine. You can't take a story from the bible and use the bible names of the people in the story and change everything about the story and think people will be "OK" with it.
I think they made this movie and used "Noah" just to stir things up in hopes the movie will get press and do good.
That's why I won't see it. Ever! Not for no other reason.
They could have taken one the millions of stories that predates the bible about other civilizations with the flood story and being fine. No they used Noah for the reason of getting press not to tell the story

Glad you and your son spent time together that is more important than a dumb movie

I am taking it step by step...gave up chicken wings...have not eaten bacon in months...probably won't ever again. It's chicken that is the hardest. Darren Aronofsky hasn't produced anything of quality yet.....why expect he do so now? if i had know this liberal was the director i wouldn't even have contemplated going to see it. i was told they had corrected the inaccuracies....guess the person who told me that had incorrect info?

now, i won't be wasting any $s, though was gonna have to check and ensure the studio and production company isn't muslim owned first anyway. thank you, GLP posters for the info.....may this movie die away soon like russell crowe's career already has.

And she thinks she's fooling us. All the atheists, witches and wiccans loved that movie and from ALL the reviews I've seen on here and elsewhere, general consensus leads me to believe she is one. They don't all carry brooms no more or have pointy hats guys sometimes they give it away in how they come across.
