Just getting a little dusty cookie bite out of the left side but not interesting color... Do I have to wait longer? Here's my pic from 1:00 cst Last Edited by Bright Side on 04/15/2014 02:20 AM Life is a spiritual war and no matter where we lay our head, we live in a warzone. There will be casualties. You do get to choose your side. I chose the Bright Side where my God fights for me. Others chose the Dark Side and fight for an entity that views them with disdain and discards them. |

They always turn reddish at total eclipse. The intensity of the color depends on the atmospheric conditions at the time. I remember one that looked like a bright copper penny and another that was more red than copper. |

Watching it on the live feed, knowing that if I look out of my window I would be watching it from the comfort of my bed. But no, the clouds are thick and the rain keeps coming. Quoting: Nirvanafan23 Yep here too. Ironically, my sister is in Calif and has the perfect view and doesn't care to see it. Its not fair! lol "We are locked in a battle. I am wondering if you know of any live cast from the Hawaiian Islands. Clear skies over there. Should be a good watch for the islanders. Mostly clear skies expected in Honolulu for lunar eclipse The best spot to watch the total eclipse of the moon may be from the leeward areas of Oahu Monday night, where mostly clear skies are forecast. Windward areas will be cloudy with the chance of isolated showers, but the eclipse may still be visible through breaks in the clouds. Honolulu and other leeward areas should have clear skies, with occasional clouds passing overhead. read more: [link to www.staradvertiser.com] I came. I saw. I Concorde. The best viewing time will be when everything is perfectly aligned, starting at 3:07 a.m., lasting 78 minutes. [link to www.nbcnewyork.com] PACIFIC DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME MONDAY NIGHT To watch the whole show from start to finish, your moon gazing should begin at 10:20 p.m. PDT, when the first faint shadow will start to fall on the moon. This is known as a penumbral eclipse, but be prepared -- it's subtle. The show gets more interesting at 10:58 p.m., when the partial eclipse begins. It should look like a little bite was taken out of the moon. Continue to look up to see the Earth's shadow move across the moon, covering more and more of its surface as the minutes pass. By 12:07 a.m., the entirety of the lunar surface will be in Earth's shadow. It will be glowing red, because even though our planet is blocking out direct light from the sun, the light of all the sunsets and sunrises on Earth still make it to the lunar surface. [link to www.latimes.com] I saw a total lunar in 1985 (think it was) and the cool thing to me is that you could see the moon in 3D so perfectly. It was like a big orange ball hanging up there (instead of a 2D white plate, as it usually looks). |
