"Red Eyes" over North County Ocean - VIDEO
During the blood moon/lunar eclipse, I noticed a pair of blinking red lights over the ocean in North County San Diego. Due to the fact that I was taking pictures and video of the blood moon, I was able to get the lights on video. ETA for follow up post and video iis 45 minutes. Not sure what the quality of the video will be, but I'll do my best to make sure it's as clear as possible. Stay tuned!!!

I'm back, but unfortunately the video is grainy as f*** because my camcorder was zoomed in all the way. Well... Here are the videos as promised:

Why do you suppose aliens/UFOs would feel compelled to comply with terrestial aviation ordinances regarding lighting? Just curious...

I don't think I saw any coordination of lighting in the aviation of the craft that I filmed. The lights showed no particular repetitive sequence of flashing lights. They look rather random to me when I watch the videos.

Fiver for the follow-through, I'll be honest, I didn't check them, I figure my mental image was good enough.

I believe you, must've been an impressive sight.

How big would you say these 'eyes' looked from your perspective?

To be honest, I'd have to say they looked to be anywhere from between an 1/8th mile to a 1/4 mile wide each.

Re: "Red Eyes" over North County Ocean - VIDEO
My kids and I actually saw the same lights at around 1:15am the night of the eclipse, but from a different angle. We were looking north from El Cajon when we first saw the lights. Me and my children saw 2 erratic blinking lights (resembling stars) in the northern sky (over Santee/Poway area) that stayed stationary for 20+min before slowly descending eastward toward the horizon. Then, one of the lights flickered to nothing while the second light remained lit and descended even faster before disappearing into the northern horizon. All of the sudden, my oldest daughter saw both lights (Still blinking) reappear in western sky within a minute after vanishing. Then, after a few minutes, the two blinking lights slowly moved to the east above us, pausing for brief moments, only to continue moving eastward. The blinking was very irregular, sometimes they remained lit (like to blend in with the stars), other times like a strobe, and blinking steadily as well. The lights seemed to remain right over us for sometime. My oldest and I played a game with the lights (joking that we should try to communicate with whatever it was) as they moved right above us using our flashlight's strobe setting. It was crazy as they were mimicking our own light pattern. Eventually the lights moved closer together and further east as they finally faded out in the eastern sky? I thought about weather balloons, planes, helicopters, satellites, but none of these would have that kind of activity! I even had my oldest daughter to confirm these lights, just before they vanished, then she found them in the western sky! I took a video with my phone when we initially saw them, but the quality is terrible. You can just barely make out the lights.
