i'm a couple of years into a tax rebellion, my fellow rabble-rouser. so questions, yes, where did you go, what do you do for cash? my answers to the first question is still in evolution (i'm soon to live my native land, which isn't russia, this is a proxy), and my second involves bitcoin, both from a mining perspective and from a darknet income. with the cyprus thefts i just realised that when governments have stopped even pretending to follow their own laws, entirely fuck them.

I am not a big fan of capitalism in the modern sense of the word,so objectivism does not really fit my philosophy.I lean more to a self sufficient sustainable life style.One where I do not depend on others for my or my families well being.

Running away from evil simply means you handed someone else your portion of it to deal with in addition to theirs, and more often than not so have others like yourself meaning evil falls upon one or at best a few overwhelmed people who really needed help, and not the load you abandoned to them.

Where did you go OP? And give me some pointers. I have been thinking about doing the same thing.

Not going to say where I am.I do have little need for cash though.There is really no way that I am aware of to do away with it entirely at some point you will need it.Farmers markets are good source of cash for our family.I also have some skills like inlaying and carving that earn some cash if needed.I think the key though is getting to where you need almost no cash.

I used to work for a very large company for many years.I hated it.It was eating me alive inside.I did make VERY good money though and was able to pay off all debt including buying a piece of property.It was a journey to get where I am for sure,but I could never go back to the 9-5 life style.

The thing about John Galt...he returned when the world needed and was ready for them to.Even now I help those who the system has left behind.I give them hope,sometimes shelter,and a full belly.No,far from running away I moved to the very edge where people fall through the cracks.When they do I show them another way.How to stand on their own.
It is amazing how much a persons life improves when you give them back their pride instead of forcing them to be dependent on someone else.

respect, dude. i think the only peaceful way to take back society from psychopathic bankers and politicians is to withdraw your consent and involvement as completely as you can. not an easy path, as ruppert's suicide just showed, but we all know where this is going if the good men do nothing.

Tip number one,and probably the most important.Shut of the TV.Seriously.Shut it off and leave it off.You will find very quickly you have a HUGE hole to fill.Take this new found time and learn a new skill.I learned inlaying,carving and am working on my 3rd language.Read a book.I am also getting much better with a guitar.Most people waste probably at least 1/5th of their life sitting in front of a box.How is that even living?My life would have been so much better had I done it sooner.

The pc.Well I limit my time on it,but it does provide some invaluable knowledge.When something breaks I find it useful for sure.When I need weather forecasts,or advise on growing something I turn to the internet.That said I try to not let it occupy to much of my time.

Think of tv this way.If I offered to pay you for 1/5th of your life how much would it be worth to you?That is what you are giving up for free just by sitting in front of a box all the time.I do watch maybe 3-4 movies per year.I read news online,but again in limited amounts.I had no clue about this missing plane until a few days ago.I honestly think I could have lived my whole life and knowing about the missing plane would have made no difference in it.

Make friends.Real ones.People that can count on you if you are needed,and that are there if you need them.It helps if they have a skill set that fills in gaps in yours.

I do not hate Rand.I really do not hate anyone.Believe what you want and find what makes you happy.Just do not try and force me into your belief system.I used the term went Gault because the motivation of the fictional character where pretty much the same as mine.That is where I would probably draw the line though.

One of my big motivations for withdrawing from the system was watching first hand how it worked.I was high enough at the corporation I worked for that I saw politicians giving out favors in return for out right bribes.Things like giving a contract if the said corporation would employ a family member.It happens every single day.The current system runs on favors and back room deals.You can have the best skills,be the best person for a job,and find yourself passed over because you are not politically connected.Hell you can be born into the wrong class in most countries,and never hope to live as the ruling class does.

The banking system would be the other big one.

So I choose to feed that system as little as possible.

The US and China are both police states, but there are differences.

The US used to be a moral, free, and peaceful country with decreasing debt. Now the USA is an immoral bankrupt warmongering police state.

China is not famous for being a free country.

Americans used to believe in personal responsibility, but today Americans have no pride and embrace welfare. Some Americans are resisting tyranny by dropping out and going Galt and draining welfare while refusing to work and pay taxes.

Welfare in China is not very generous or developed, but many Chinese evade taxes. Accepting welfare is considered to be shameful by some Chinese.

The Chinese are more optimistic because China had no freedom before, but became a little more free.

The US is pessimistic now because Americans had freedom before, but are now embracing tyranny.

The US used to believe in free trade and immigration, but now Americans want to be like North Korea and have closed borders.

The USA used to believe in freedom and the free market, but now Americans have become like retarded children who want their beloved government overlords to decree that rents be cheap and the minimum wage be high and tell Americans what to think, what to do, what to wear, what to eat, and where to live.

Americans used to fight Commies and Nazis, but have now become Commies and Nazis.
