Pensacola Loud Booms Shaking our Homes and surrounding counties

We felt it too here at the Cordova mall area by the airport

Just heard it about 20 minutes ago too. I live here in Myrtle Grove/West Pensacola. Can't wait to find out whats up.

Sonic booms from the AFB?

Live off Langley near 9th, heard a very loud noise that shook the house as well

Someone said they were training at Eglin and that it would happen again around 9-9:30. I have lived here all of my life and do not recall hearing of a boom from training being reported by so many from different counties. I hope we find out for sure.

I thought it could have been a dump truck in the clay pit near by or Eglin AFB.

I know what sonic booms sound like, I have heard them many times. This was no sonic boom. From here in Myrtle Grove almost sounded like thunder but not quite kind of hard to explain.

It made things shake in my house that's for damn sure.

Just a loud noise here no shaking. So I guess that means the "event" was much closer to your area than mine.

wonder what the "bomb" was?

I figured it was Eglin. Must have been one hell of a bomb.

I heard them twice this morning at my house in the Bellview area of Pensacola, then three times while I was in Bagdad just a few minutes ago. Patrons at the store I was in thought someone had run into the building with a truck.

Any fracking going on?

Against what perceived threat to the entire region, the RCAF? Migrating butterflies?? As opposed to what, high-level air defense training?
