Are you really happy, or are you merely trying to convince yourself. Look at yourself fearlessly and you will at once realise that your happiness depends on conditions and circumstances, hence it is momentary, not real. Real happiness flows from within.
But why talk of happiness at all? You do not think of happiness except when you are unhappy. man who says: 'Now I am happy', is between two sorrows -- past and future. This happiness is mere excitement caused by relief from pain. Real happiness is utterly unselfconscious. It is best expressed negatively as: 'there is nothing wrong with me. I have nothing to worry about'. (I Am That) |

Well, I've not long finished work, really hard crappy job. Got home, had a lovely shower, had a snack - tasty! Sat down in the sun with my wife and baby, whilst the older kids set out camping.
I'm having a smoke and a cider. And you know what? I reckon I'm pretty happy! |
