Why does creationism and evolution have to mutually exclusive.

Could there not be an intelligence that uses evolution to create, guiding it each step of the way. As there seems to be evidence to support each concept has some truths in it, this approach seems to make the most sense to me.

But then what would there be to argue and kill each other over, if we found a common ground.

So why don't we have 1000+ year old believers still alive today - that is based on your theory of God only kills non-believers...

Where does it say how long a day is, some places say a day is a thousand years, but I would suggest a much longer period of time. Its all speculation, but when presented with known facts it would appear to have taken much longer than 6 days, or six thousand years. No where does it say how long a creation day is/was.
