Me personally I don't want to end any race like the catholic church did, and Native Americans are well respected by me it's not just white people however that condemn a man or race it's systems. |

America, according to the history of N. America recorded in the Book of Mormon, which has never been "debunked" in fact it is being used to locate ancient cities ect by Archelogists ... including some now submerged. Quoting: SunnyDaze There were actually three other civilizations, on the N AM continent - before the "Indians" lived there ... so you'all can quit with your claim to "ownership" because you stole it from the people already living there when you "migrated" over Technically anyone born here is a NATIVE American - so don't try to lay your guilt trip on me ... I am not guilty - I bought the land I live on, and didn't displace anyone since no one ever lived there before me. and btw, I am also a Native American ... born here Sunny, I agree with you totally. But try not paying taxes on the land 'you own' and see what happens. Every time I go to city hall to pay my 'property taxes'...I tell the clerk that I'm there to pay the 'rental fee' imposed on me for the property that my home is on. |

This kind of shit won't be truthfully told in History books, if they will even be allowing history books anymore. |

Quoting: Desert Fox No question DF! Its fundamental, and what they want. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 54491822 Did Morgan Freeman really say that was a good question? I hope he'll like these questions too: Ask me, I was born in Utah, so I'm a native American. Oh, do you mean we have rights from where our ancestors lived 1,000 years ago? Great! My ancestors Henry II and Eleanor of Aquitaine owned about half of Europe. Therefore I should own it. Someone must have stolen it, right? Where are all the maps of the continent which were made by the Native Americans, showing who owned what? |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 54491822 Hmmm, then maybe the land we stole from the Indians will be returned to the Indians from the people who stole it from us? I think not. Maybe they'll give us a FEMA reservation to live on. i wonder if there were people in the US when Indians migrated over from somewhere... |

Water wells ? Forget it without a permit no matter where you live and you will pay a tax. Have beavers damming and clogging up your lake ?? Or otters eating all your fish ?? Permit to get rid of them. Total control is the order of the day. Soon you wont be able to wipe your ass and flush it down a toilet without a permit and taxes. Also in the not too distant future, you will have to pay for everything you use, natural or not. You will basically have to pay just to be alive no matter how you live. Life was not meant to be lived like this. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1256345 United States 04/17/2014 09:07 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Acequia's - An irrigation system that can be found in N. New Mexico an S. Colorado. A tech brought over from Spain that has it's own unique set of laws governing them. So much so and combined w/ the age of the active systems the two states exempted them state law so they could continue to be managed in their traditional manner. After a long legal battle mind you. These systems are large or grande and thread themselves all over towns and the country side. A lot are used on old ranchito's as property lines. They are as much a tradition here as green chile roasting in grocery parking lot's w/ the almost sting vapor hanging in the air, everybody out on Christmas eve aft. lining the streets w/ luminaries and going out that evening w/ them lit all over town, elk hunting and burning the fields in spring. The Acequia's are like the arteries of this place. High desert in the s. Rockies, you want farming, cattle, horses... you have to move water. Every spring multi gen's of old local families are out clearing and cleaning them out then, in a short time actually, the gate's are opened at the Rio Fernando and Rio Pueblo and all of a sudden there is water flowing every where. Streams rolling all over w/ cold mountain run off. A great little tweak to the visual of spring here. Note - even if you have property w/ part of the system rolling through it unless you have the right under the system you can never touch it. Ask you neighbor who does have that right - 'No problem, well get ya wet'. Anyone can have some, just follow the old school rules. The EPA getting into this system will not go over well... at all. 'were here from the gumbrment and we're here to help' Gawd spare us. |

There are pyramids and mounds there. Google Aztalan State Park. Thank you for understanding that there is more history than what the accepted dogma dictates. Or there's a low spot on a property, and water flows though it during heavy rains they would have jurisdiction over it all the time now?..Get the intermittent and seasonal.. What would be rain dependent be? Not clear on that one... |
