Headaches, numbess, memory loss.
I was a very healthy 39 yr old when my family moved to a new area in the same state 3 years ago. I suddenly came down with severe headaches, the worst you could imagine! For the next 4 months I went to several doctors, all of which tried several ways to treat me for migranes. Finally, after an mri, I was diagnosed with hydrocephalus.
The diagnosing dr. recomedended a shunt. So,within a week I found myself having brain surgery. I was told that it would relieve the pressure and solve the headaches.
That was 3 years ago, since then I have had no relief, I have changed doctors, they are at a loss with me. I am suffering with severe memory loss, and have constant ringing in my ears. My brain feels like it is on fire most days. My fingers and toes constantly go numb and yet my doctors can't explain why.
I am beginning to think it is enviormental. But maybe that is my pesimistic nature. I have a very supportive family, because with the pain, most days I am not very functional. People, I was a vibrant, healthy, active, mother 3 years ago. If you look into hydrocephalus, you don't just "get" it. I have had no brain trauma on my life.
I don' t really know why I am reaching out here, some of you seem like decent people, just venting I suppose.

I suffered with severe headaches for years and like you made many tests and changed doctors.

Over the time I concluded myself that all is spinal and orthopedic related.

Lately I've been better, can't tell you my cure or precautions are same for your case, but I am sure, swimming helps especially in heated pool.

I also recomend that you consider chiropractice, I am sure it is much more popular in the US and there are more professional chiropractors.

You might not know. Some people go for years without knowing.

The only real way to know for sure is to get tested.

OP, the poster is wondering if you could be suffering from Lyme disease. It is a nasty tick borne bacteria that is difficult to diagnose and cure.

I know they tested me for lupus, but I don't think I have been tested for lyme disease. Thank you, does it resemble my symptoms? I will definitly ask my dr.s about checking me for it. I am just at my wits end.

seems like a no-brainer to me MOVE to a different location if you believe that it was the move that cause your present condition ... geeze loueze it seems fairly evident from your account that it is an environmental issue

PS Lyme's disease has 75 symptoms that appear randomly - you need to be exhibiting 25 of them to get a "clinical" diagnoses, because 80% of the tests for Lyme come back with a false negative ... and if you don't get treated within two weeks, you will play hell trying to get rid of this MAN-MADE virus'silent epidemic --- that is most often mis-diagnosed as rheumatoid arthritis, Lupus, Chrons, Fibermyalgia, Barr-Epstine and depression - which gives it time to settle in deeply - and will take years of drastic measure to get rid of

It's not always that easy when you have a mortgage and children in school. Besides, the house we bought is what we want. It allows us room to garden and is remote.

Actually no sir, I don't cry much. I have lived a damn hard life, but a very good one! I cried when my children were born, I cried when the only elder I ever respected, in my life, died. I don't cry at the drop of a hat, and I don't need to grow a pair believe me. I already have a pair much bigger than yours! You little shit!
I don't need some self serving dolt to tell me that I am "emotional" because Beethoven's 5th relaxes me or that I get enjoy Pink Floyd every now and then. People like you kill me, you think you know everything yet what you put out is drivel. Hold your pair and cough, yeah that's right their walnuts.

I didn't take any meds before all of this. They put me on several.different migrane meds before the surgery but none of them worked. I don't take anything now. I drink hot green herbal tea when the pain gets really bad..
