Mayor makes news for firing Lesbian police chief, another Mayor arrested for firing police chief and threatening judge-what is with the mayors?

I'm not going to let 2 women stand up there and hold hands and let my child be aware of it. And I'm not going to see them do it with 2 men neither."

I don't think its proper for the mayor to ask the chief of police to babysit in the first place, but I haven't finished reading yet...somebody gay should show up and protest?
