Overrated these days for the most part, yes. Years ago employers used to offer full time employment, on the job training, and full benefits including retirement, and paid their employees well. A job like this back then was something to be proud of.

Now you have shithead employers who hire only part time so they don't have to pay benefits, refuse to take the time to train on the job (they want experience only) and pay shit wages to boot. And then they lay off their seasoned workers before retirement so they don't have to pay the employee's retirement. Or worse yet, they don't want to pay any employees what they should so they hire illegals for shit wages instead.

So I ask you where is the incentive? Show me the incentive.
