Reid's Dumb Use of "We are a nation of laws"
Used actually in reverse context to John Adams who was a Revolutionary War hero. Adams was joking that the British idea of a republic was that it was a nation of laws and not people. Adams further stated the rights we know today which the Federal Government under Reid is infringing upon. So 1) not only is Reid stupid, 2) he likens himself as an agent of the British Monarchy to a Revolutionary War hero.

"If Aristotle, lixiviate, and Harrington knew what a republic was, the British constitution is much more like a republic than an empire. They define a republic to be a government of laws, and not of men. If this definition is just, the British constitution is nothing more or less than a republic, in which the king is first magistrate. This office being hereditary, and being possessed of such ample and splendid prerogatives, is no objection to the government's being a republic, as long as it is bound by fixed laws, which the people have a voice in making, and a right to defend." - As Novanglus, in Boston Gazette, March 6, 1775

It most certainly is about 'the people', Harry, and their right to defend. Reid compares his view of government to the British Monarchy of John Adam's time.

So we can add slander to charges of racketeering and attempted murder and large scale animal abuse ON TOP of direct violations to the Constitution.

What Reid is saying is we are a nation to be militarized to use against each other and promote the rich and affluent with our own blood.

He was misquoting John Adam's of the 1700's. The shit in the kettle happened right before 1776.

Do you believe that an armed military should be sent to your door to collect a 'presumed' debt? If you do, then good luck with that. I'm not going to let some corrupt politician advocate for murder of citizens and animals and misquote the intended purpose of the founding fathers of this country as an excuse to do it.

Re: Reid's Dumb Use of "We are a nation of laws"
Reid was speaking in favor of imperialist Britain against Americans who fought against that in the Revolutionary War.

What was Britain doing at the time that brought about this war? They were sending in troops to collect unsustainable debt from farmers and ranchers at gun point.

Slaughtering and killing, intimidation and confiscation.

We've come full circle folks and Harry says this is good. The sheep gobble it up thinking it's about politics.

To go thru a minimum of 12 years of schooling and the people do not know this says a lot about our education system.

Thank you. I had to look since some folks made a big deal about legitimizing Harry's statement.

Reid should be taken down hard. Anyone in government who does not understand the first 3 words of the constitution should not even allowed to be in America.

Mr. Reid, its "We the People,"

NOT

"We the Laws."
