Abstaining from eating meat makes them feel righteous. From this self righteous high horse, they are as self righteous as if they were wearing flowing robes with tassels like men in religions. Not all, but many. In fact, vegetarianism and veganism is just another religion as evidenced by the -ism and the fruit - self righteousness.

Really? You're wrong. I'm a vegetarian....have a full-time job, support myself and not on a single prescription. I don't eat meat because it messed with my stomach and caused me all sorts of issues.
