What would you do with 40k? |

Report Copyright Violation | What would you do with 40k? Gramps passed away and left me 40k. I'm not sure what to do with it and I know it could go really fast. I won't be buying preps or metals or a new car or starting a business. Would it be so bad to just travel and have fun for a year? Do you think I'd have any regrets if I go that route? What really is there to invest in these days. I'm not patient, life can be short and I want to enjoy it now. I have no real career, just menial jobs, thought about going back to school for a bit but I've already a B.A. In liberal arts and not crazy about going back. Thought about maybe permaculture?

If you use it wisely, you could use that money to build a house so that you never have to worry about mortgage or rent as long as you live there. This will of course mean that you have to do the work yourself, but it can be done. If you spend it all in a year then you will always regret not being smarter about how you used the money. Believe me, been there, done that. The second time around, however, I was not so fickle. |

Either sit on it or buy land or a house. Whatever you do, dont blow it on something that'll be gone in a year or two. 40k isn't a huge amount, but it does have the potential to be a long term, life-changing amount if you are smart about how you use it. |
