I know a lot of people love the Pope. Just remember, there are a LOT of Christians who do not believe in the Pope.

NO MAN shall rest between a soul and their God.

Beyond that, I hope those two have a great day.

Re: Canonization of John Paul II and John XXIII (Live Feed)
"In the early 1940s, the I.G. Farben Chemical Company employed a Polish salesman
who sold cyanide to the Nazis for use in Auschwitz. The same salesman also
worked as a chemist in the manufacture of the poison gas. This same cyanide gas
along with Zyklon B and malathion was used to exterminate millions of Jews and
other groups. Their bodies were then burned to ashes in the ovens.

After the war the salesman, fearing for his life, joined the Catholic Church and
was ordained a priest in 1946. One of his closest friends was Dr. Wolf Szmuness,
the mastermind behind the November/78 to October/79 and March/80 to October/81
experimental hepatitis B vaccine trials conducted by the Center for Disease Control
in New York, San Francisco and four other American cities that loosed the plague of
AIDS upon the American people. The salesman was ordained Poland's youngest bishop
in 1958. After a 30-day reign his predecessor was assassinated and our ex-cyanide
gas salesman assumed the papacy as Pope John Paul II."

Today’s “doubleheader” in Rome marks the canonization of both Blessed Pope John XXIII and Blessed Pope John Paul II as saints. These two beloved figures are still so familiar to us, especially John Paul, who died a mere 9 years ago, but also John XXIII, Il Buono Papa , “The Good Pope,” as Italians still call him, and who many of us still fondly recall:

"The Catholic Church's two newest saints were "popes of the twentieth century" and "were not afraid to look upon the wounds of Christ," said Pope Francis on Sunday.
"They lived through the tragic events of that century, but they were not overwhelmed by them," Pope Francis said in his homily (offered below). "For them, God was more powerful; faith was more powerful -- faith in Jesus Christ the Redeemer of man and the Lord of history."

"May these two new saints and shepherds of God’s people intercede for the Church, so that during this two-year journey toward the Synod she may be open to the Holy Spirit in pastoral service to the family. May both of them teach us not to be scandalized by the wounds of Christ and to enter ever more deeply into the mystery of divine mercy, which always hopes and always forgives, because it always loves."

It really freaked me out that the statue killed a man prior to the canonization. What the heck? Very strange omen. the victim also lived on a street named after John Paul.

OK Soooo?

Not sure on the proceedings here but umm how is it that a few priests can get together and create a saint ? seems a bit of a
strange thing when man can create saints at will, i thought that was a god thing? And whats with all the gold and lavish shit in the vatican? What was that commandment oh yes thats right. Thou shall not create any brazen images in thy image.
Or something along those lines. This is why i am not religeous.
All the contradictory crap and self indulgence while all the time crying "the meek shall inherit the earth" While they stuff their faces on the best of food and lavish surroundings.
While covering up siko pedapohile priests has kind of turned me off religeon and the vatican.
HEY ! Heres a thought? how about the vatican and the pope dig out all that priceless art and treasure from under the vatican and sell it and put their money where their mouth is and
FEED THE FUCKIN POOR YOU PACK OF SELF CENTRED PRICKS.
Sorry for the language guys but come on enough is enough.

You nailed it, Watcher! Ancient Rome is alive and well as these deviants parade around in splendor while they make themselves gods. Remember, you goofy rubes who still believe in this tripe, the unholy catholic church wants you there to pay, obey, and pray, in that order. And if you are willing to throw in a kid or two, they think All the Better!

You do realize that only those who Jesus allows into the right side of heaven are saints , man and his traditions have no control or knowledge who is or is not a saint and quite frankly the bible is clear the traditions of man make void the word of God and these men have Laiden the sheep with many a blasphemous tradition , I know I was catholic .

Don't know anything about JP's Miracles
Don't know, don't care.
I don't even really trust the Catholic Church anymore anyway.
the evidence of these alleged bonafied miracles is sketchy at best.
there's cameras everywhere but you can't believe a damned thing you see or hear anymore
even if he fed 5000 from a picnic basket
and I was there eating it I would be skeptical of what was taking place not being genuine as what it is purported to be

doubting Thomas comes to mind, though I can't speculate on his duress due to situational circumstance
but as of the current state of the World, I'm not even going to submit to an Angel flying down out of the clouds and blowing a trumpet at me.

err, ummm, I mean well,.... aside form life itself a miracle, I can think of any number of ways all these things can happen, including most of Jesus Miracles too, and weather my delusional theories make sense or not is irrelevant to the logic being within the realm of possibility.

question; why do they wear white robes? Is it reference to the anointed in Leviticus?

All these vestments cost a fortune. Can you imagine if they had to make new ones for the ceremony for all of the attending bishops and cardinals and then the cost of travel from the World around?? I bet they don't fly in Economy Class - or maybe a few.

It seems Francis the Pope has trouble walking. It is said that he has only one lung.

I would not be surprised if Ratzinger outlives him. Time will tell.
