The hypernova of VY Canis Majoris was predicted by Nostradamus!

Could the cloud that will cause 2 suns to appear be the G2 gas cloud that is expected to make its closest approach to a Black Hole in the Galactic Center of the Milky Way anytime now? Will this collision cause VY Canis Majoris to go hypernova?

According to the following study, the time of closest approach is expected sometime 2014.21±0.14

If we take the upper limit of 2014.21+0.14 we get the latest time of collision on May 8, 2014.

Gamma Ray jets of hypernovas are like laser beams that are highly concentrated on two opposite directions. So even if VY Cais Majoris is located several thousand light years away, its gamma ray burst (if directly pointed at our solar system) can still be very damaging when it arrives.

And it all depends on which side of the sun we are on during the arrival, correct?

Basing on Nostradamus prophecy, the fact that he saw 2 suns mean that our sun will not be covering us from this gamma ray burst when the hypernova occurs.

I can't find a link that tells how long a hypernova lasts. However, Nostradamus says the star he saw will burn for seven days, and this is close to a type I supernova with peak brightness lasting only a few hours to days.

Remember, a hypernova is around 100 times stronger than a supernova.

The hypernovae observed so far originated from galaxies outside our own. VY Canis Majoris is inside our own galaxy, so if it goes hypernova, it will be the first one observed originating in our own galaxy :(
