you can't convince me that these are aliens. Aliens wouldn't come dozens of light years just to fuck with us. the fuel/power expenditure to get here would be absolutely massive if they wanted to get here in a reasonable amount of time.

Another thing, if these are aliens, their home planet would have to be close. Humans have only been broadcasting radio signals into space for around 100 years, meaning that we have blanketed a 100 light year radius around the earth indicating that we are here. the aliens would have to be within that bubble or they would never know that we were here (the sun is a very average star they probably wouldn't have run across us by accident). now odds are in some time in their history the aliens would have invented communication technology that uses radio waves and would be spreading it from their home planet. in order to have the technology to travel between stars, they would have to be thousands if not millions of years more advanced than us and we would have been able to hear their transmissions on SETI and other radio telescopes. but so far there has been nothig but radio silence leading me to believe that these are not aliens.

You could definitely convince me that these are advanced/experimental aircraft, but not aliens.
