And forget about understanding. Its a personal choice and its kind of "butt-out" situation. If she insists on a water birth, at least suggest that the tub be sterilized. Just tell her you are rootin' & tootin' for her and wish her all the best. I knew a woman who simply wanted to squat by a stream and give birth alone.
