I vape and I love it. This article says some people are "dripping" the vape juice directly on the element and not using the vape properly. Yeah, well, maybe that's a stupid thing to do, but don't punish all vapers for something stupid people do. Vaping helped me quit smoking and now a regular cig is just gross to me. I love my vape!

My neighbor tried the Blu cigarettes and he said he heard on the news that they can do more harm then good. However I use to have an older metal E-cig that you had to put a couple of drops of liquid into every so often. That thing burned big time hot. I actually burned my fingers many times on it. Now I have a different type and I love it.

My vape is never hot! I would never use one of those cheap e-cigs with the cartridges, I get my vape juice from my local vape store and have a metal tank (no possible danger from heated plastic). But never does my vape even get hot- I don't know why people would try to heat them up so much, it would just ruin the vape IMO.

To me they are much safer. In fact my heart doctor told me use it all I want just keep bringing the nicotine down then use just flavor. I am actually now using the flavor and lowest nicotine together. By mixing them I can make it at a lower level and then wean myself off the nicotine.

I've been vaping for 4 years.

I build my own coils, and yes, I "drip". It isn't ANY different than any other e-cigs....the only difference is I build my own coils, drip directly onto the wick, and have MUCH better flavor than other e-cigs.

And broccoli has benzene in it.

They just want to tax and regulate them under the guise of "helping you".

Seems to me that a ton of news stories about children dying from e-cigs, mold in the lungs and half baked studies have been rushed to the headlines over the last couple months. Anyone else get the feeling that Phillip Morris and the like may have something to do with these terrifying tales/studies?

Good for you and your enlightened doc. I use 0 nicotine, just flavor. It is not a carcinogen and it is not bad for the body. Big tobacco and govt are going after e-cigs bigtime.

E-cigs are dangerous in the sense you are inhaling a chemical over and over that shouldn't be there.

But as a replacement for inhaling 6,000 chemicals that shouldn't be there....I think you are better off.

In this case they are making the perfect the enemy of the good.

I made a discovery years ago regarding nicotine and pain. I have periodic pain in my shin area from an injury. Sometimes it can be bad enough to make me limp. I tried every otc pain med available, none really helped. I tried some presription meds, a few helped but effed me up, making it difficult to function. Then I realized one day the pain disappeared after I smoked a cigarette, and would stay away for most of the day. It's the nicotine. I'm glad ecigs are available because they absolutely are much safer than cigarettes. I could go on about the ridiculous propaganda and lies by this group or that agency, but will stop here.

The E-cig has really pissed the nazi's off, they're now banned in public places alongside tobacco.
