The people making this claim clearly have NO IDEA AT ALL about how our justice system works.

In order for there to be a federal or state Warrant for anyone's arrest, a law enforcement officer, District Attorney or U.S. Attorney must seek one.

At the federal level, all law enforcement agencies, FBI, Secret Service, BATF, etc, are part of the Executive Branch of government; Department of Justice (all US Attorneys) ALL work for the President of the United States.

If a member of one of those agencies dared to even THINK about securing a warrant for the arrest of a President, he would simply be fired.

The power to enforce the laws rests solely with the President and HE delegates some of that authority to underlings in the various agencies listed above. A subordinate cannot arrest the person from whom he derives his arrest authority.

In order for a sitting President to be arrested, he must first be Impeached by the House of Representatives for "high crimes and misdemeanors." Once Impeached, a trial is held in the US Senate, with the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court presiding.

Evidence is presented, testimony is given and the Senate votes. It takes a simple majority (51) to CONVICT the President and at the precise moment the 51st "Guilty" vote is cast, the President is no longer President.

Only THEN can he be arrested just like any other citizen.


None of this stuff is a secret. Any basic Grade School or High School Civics class teaches this process. For folks to be adults and somehow NOT know this stuff is utterly shameful.
