Typical Libtard hypocrisy...

Lack of a firm ideology leads to single issue oriented movements like PETA, people who vote single issue rather than a coherent ideology are almost always hypocritical when you examine them issue by issue.

They are as Lenin described, simply "Useful Idiots".

PETA is such a hypocrite organization -- they have been caught over and over again killing animals themselves. I wish they would pull up stakes and move out of my area.

Since you donot know the difference between torture and humane slaughter, then you do need a lesson or two, and shouldnot be given a license to buy nor eat meat until you prove you did your homework of serving three months (full-time) of hands-on-slaughter in a slaughterhouse.

Puleeeze, that is quite consistent with PETA and their mission statement, and you damn well know it.

Re: what PETA really thinks
I supported PETA for three months.

During one of the meetings they began to spew hatred for meat eaters and how wrong it was to wear animal products and eat meat. How they should band together and stop the world from eating meat.

I told them this was ridiculous.

I told them that I was under the impression that PETA wanted to stop the cruel treatment of animals.
Meaning, that animals who are bred for meat should live humanely and die humanely.
It should not be about people forcing people to do something they wish to do. It is about making sure that cruelty doesn't happen, not take away peoples rights.

They became angry and turned on me.

I explained that they were only angry because they cannot discuss my opinion rationally as there is no logic to what they are asking, so anger is their last resort.

They all began shouting and one particularly aggressive woman asked:

"So you think it is all right for animals to die for people to eat and wear?"

"Yes" I said. "I am against the cruel treatment of animals. I am in no way against eating meat."

This caused so much hate against me. I stood up and gathered my things and my exact parting words were:

"You are the Scientology of the Animal Rights world. No I don't eat red meat, but I eat chicken and fish and love the fucking stuff".

A few weeks later I received a call from them asking to restart my monthly donation and all the good it does.
I mentioned my experience with their group and how I thought it was the most ridiculous experience I have ever had with any organization. They put the phone down on me.

PETA are tapped in the head.

I don't "speak for" Pro-Life groups, but in general, they are against the killing of INNOCENT human life, which means putting to death serial killers on death row, IS most definitely OK, as it is just punishment for them, for they are not innocent.

As far as animals go, killing animals for food has always been done, and no doubt Jesus ate fish, and probably lamb and goat as well.

But, I would agree that animals raised for food, ought NEVER be abused or put into ridiculously small spaces.

Regardless of what you think of PETA, that was the right answer for a representative to give. It's irrelevant to their cause, and considering the topic, it's best to avoid it.

Silly organisation though.

like most UN/tptb approved organizations, their public policy and real agenda are two, very separate ideologies.

They're all for population control/reduction and herding everyone into cities, leaving themselves (and the elite) to manage the rest of the earth.

They emailed me requesting a donation. I wrote them back telling them that because of their no-slaughter law, I was taking in horses that other people couldn't afford to feed and could no longer take to slaughter, that were starving to death. I demanded some money for cleaning up their mess. I never received another donation request.

Fuck humans. We have messed up this world badly enough and killed so many animals, enslaved many breeds, wiped entire species off the planet. Someone has to look after the animals as they cannot protect themselves from our species which has managed to produce technology to wipe our planet clean of all life if need be.

Why should a group that protects animals have an abortion agenda? I bet anti abortion groups don't have a vegan agenda. This is a total non story you bell end.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 56830726

Right, we can't even take care of ourselves, so we shoudl go help the animals too.

They probably see our "help" along the lines of how we perceive: "We're with the government, were here to help."
