I don't mind paying people as long as they are willing to work for free

This is not meant as a scam or a word trick. It's honestly how I feel. I don't mind paying people, but they have to do the work like it means something to them, like they would do it for free.

I guess I don't care about plumbers and accountants, but when working with creative people. I can't accept anything less than their best possible effort. Because no audience member is going to pay a cent for anything less. Some of them won't even pay for the best.
