The true purpose of life is to REPRODUCE. Nothing more and nothing less.

I say the purpose is to Love.

That's because stupid people are having children. Too many parents these days are still children themselves. It's a joke anymore.

Why do I need a license to catch a fish, yet any jackass can have children? Children that raise themselves and have zero respect for anything.

You reproduce what? Love and children. YES! And children are amazing, Love is marvelous.

It is the same as a virus. Parasite that reproduces for the sake of reproducing, while being a parasite to a host it eventually kills.

If that's what you think it's about then you're not only ignorant but also arrogant.

If you can't find any purpose in your life then I guess you could say your purpose is to reproduce. I try to learn what I can and spread what I learn as I think that has more to do with purpose than breeding.

I agree with this. Just my opinion. We're just another organism, a complicated one, but an organism just the same. Our complicated aspect (brain power) has created the illusion that we should live long lives, strive for big houses, have giant TV's, etc. All that BS is the industrial machine in action. How many people believe they HAVE to have an iphone? Creation of need, and greed of those that perpetuate it, is what's doing us in. Food, shelter, water, reproduction to perpetuate the species. Just like a bug. Everything else is some greedy bastard's creation.

I think the question is: Who told you that you had to have a purpose? Did Mom tell you to be a doctor so you could make a lot of money? THAT'S the industrial system talking. The system we live in was created by men (women). Greedy ones, too. We place our values of ourselves by how much we have. That's the creation. Too late. We're stuck in it now.

We can clone humans effectively at the moment and were working on artificial intelligence ( just search "google robotics" ) I say the real purpose in life is to support each other through reason

The purpose of life is to experience life.

Reproduction is a part of that, a large part of it, but there is more.

In my opinion one of the most important things you can ever get to understand; is that the world as we percieve it is made up (only) of 'patterns'. Internested within each other like Russian Dolls, but independent worlds within themselves, with their own currencies and rules.

So sure - biological life at the level of genes, only looks to reproduce itself.


Creatures begin to have social concerns.

Human lives are centred around social concerns, social patterns are arranged to try and control, then harness biological patterns for their own ends.

As humans we also begin to have an intellectual life - for some it is even the centre of their lives - where ethics, morality etc are there to control and harness social/emotional patterns to their own ends.

such is the purpose of this second earth Age as ordained of God just prior to where the biblical works commence with:

"In the Beginning..."

Our true purpose is fulfilling our desires. We are driven by desires, not survival.

Reproduction is just a physical need, just like feeding. Both are necessary to sustain life but are not our purpose here.
