Why didn't Kerry mention FREEDOM, religious freedom, educational freedom, freedom to be what you want to be. Is FREEDOM such a strange word to Democrats? The only point he can make is that the Nigerian kidnappers aren't ruling the people correctly or providing government programs to them?
