She did loose it. Unfortunately she was left with some extra rind. Kinda hideous.

A 10lb nut sack hanging off a womens mid section is, umm, different.

That's what happens when you lose it too rapidly. The skin doesn't have time to shrink along with you. The elasticity of the skin cannot return that quickly. Five pounds a month is the way to go. And rub coconut oil on your belly every night. But everyone is too impatient these days of fast everything.

It has nothing to do with losing it rapidly. Some people have loose skin, and some don't.

I applaud and am proud of this woman for her accomplishment.

But, there are so many weight loss stories out there. A lot more than you would think. I know of a handful from just my own gym.

What likely happened was the magazine contacted dozens, or even hundreds of women like her, with hopes to secure a story with one of the women in their magazine.

They didn't pick her. I'm not denying that it's from the loose skin.

But while her story is admirable and deserves praise, there are still many others out there like her. And the magazine picked someone else.

I'm sorry that she wasn't picked for the magazine spread. But her accomplishment alone should be enough to make her happy.

I made my own transformation over 3 years. Many people in the fitness industry have. But we don't all get selected for a magazine.

Even though she does still have that second frontbutt she did lose an entire person worth of weight ... and that's quite an accomplishment!

That picture scared the shit out of me for a second.

Gotta hand it to her, though. Takes remarkable self confidence to unashamedly display yourself like that for all to see. Warts and all.

She is obviously very proud of he accomplishment and should be. She did what most people cant.

I'll bet being rejected by the magazine actually gives her more exposure for her accomplishments.

The magazine certainly has the right to reject anybody. I don't have a problem with that.

I think in the end both the magazine and this lady will have benefited more because of this dissension.

Did she just diet? You have to workout too, to lose the flab.

She should be congratulated on her weight loss.

But you have to keep your muscles tight in the process so that youre not left with a ton of excess/saggy skin.

Props to her for her transformation. Yes she does have some extra skin but it's bound it happen when you make such a dramatic weight lose. Unfortunately Shape magazine is not concerned with featuring reality, so I'm glad her blog is receiving publicity. She doesn't need that stupid magazine.

Again a false statement. There are many women with amazing bodies, no airbrush needed. Trust me.

I am by no means perfect. I can be honest and say that there guys out there with ripped abs and great builds. That is the bottom line, looking in the mirror and accepting yourself is great. But dont expect the world to agree.
