Some K-9 assistance would be great! Can't find any real solutions on Google.
OK....long story short...had a 5 year old boxer bulldog (Tot) male not neutered, got a 6 week old Pit mutt (lab maybe, very intelligent) *Bernie* they laid together, played together, everything until the Pitt got 1 year, and then they turned on each other.

He then began growling for no reason at Tot, and they would be begin fighting. It started happening more and more and they were literally hurting each other.

Got the pitt Bernie neutered, hoping it would help. Didnt. But, for the past few months i have got them back together and it goes OK, they play, run around together, etc....for about half an hour to an hour. And then RANDOMLY, completely RANDOMLY, the pitt's hair stands up and he walks over to me and stares at Tot.

Before he EVEN HAS A CHANCE to growl (which i can tell hes about to do), Tot realizes it, or FEELS it, and comes running over with his ears up, and they're they go.

It's so frustrating. Someone give me some help here!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry to say, but it sounds like you are way too late in having the dogs fixed. Both are males, so they will fight. There is no way around it.

I would suggest re-homing the pitt-mutt to a home that has no children and no other pets.

Next time, either get a female or get BOTH males fixed.

OP I have a similar situation. One GSD not neutered, one shepherd mix neutered.

I would suggest no unsupervised interaction between the pair.

Also, keep them separated in individual crates. Rotate house and yard time between the two.

I would also recommend getting a muzzle for both of them. When you are home and want them to have family time, put the muzzles on both of them and then you can let them interact. Chances are they will stay away from one another as each dog will not realize the other is muzzled. The muzzle psychologically gives the dog a disadvantage.

I never let my males interact without the precautions mentioned above. I learned the hard way. I tried to break up a fight between the 2 and wound up getting bit.

One last thing, get a good air horn. If a fight does break out between them, a blast of the airborne will snap them out of fight mode long enough to regain control of them.

Good luck OP.

OP, you don't have a clue how to handle dogs, get rid of them both before one kills the other or severely hurts the other.

Get a small toy dog, something that you can handle, people like you raising big, stronger dogs will only get a small child killed.

Keep them separated or get rid of one of them that is my advice.

two alpha males will not get along.
plus, they are in competition over you.

The younger one has reached adolescence, maturity
and his nature will never be completely changed.

You will have to rotate them-for one-on-one house time,
attention.
Try to divide yard area into two large sections, so they
can play up and down through the fence.
