After a police warning, some protesters did not disperse and attacked with fireworks, stones and Molotov cocktails, resulting in the police using tear gas and water cannon to disband the group.

The crowd in front of the Soma coal mining company building in Istanbul are still present and the police have barricaded the entrances to the vacant building.
