FEMA not screening Saudis. What is going on?

Its not up to Fema to Screen Airline Passengers. They can't screen everybody for Mers. It would cause a backlog to do Blood tests. What they will do is use Infared to screen for FEVERS, If you have a FEVER they will pull you off to the side.

I was told by a doctor that to greatly minimize the chance of getting MERS one should stay away from groups of people.

It isn't chasing anyone down. Be smart, practice good hygiene and you'll be ok.

This is not good news at all. All one can do is try to avoid crowds, wash hands often, esp. after leaving a store or something like that. I know that unfortunately my hospital visits will be on hold for a bit, probably, although I do have masks to wear. And, certainly not getting on an airplane.

And I will not live in fear, but use wisdom.

(BTW and off topic, I think I talked a young man out of joining the military. One thing he said was he wants to fly. I said go take some flying lessons. Don't be a slave to the bankers.)

I've had some kind of flu for the last 4-5 days, probably "chem-flu", although it seems more like a bacterial thing. Not going to the doctor so he can shake his head and tell me nothing.

I spend every day inside a hospital with a long term care facility attached too it. So far this past winter there have been three major isolation incidents. So if I weere you I would not worry about your wfe to much, we the hospital staff will be your first line of defense, Once we start getting knocked off then you can worry about your wife.

My fiancée woke up this morning with body chills and skin aches, and a touch of a sore throat. I'm guessing it's just the change of weather from ice hockey to patio beer up here. I'd be lying if MERS didn't pop up in to my mind. Is that a bad thing? Am I playing in to the paranoia campaign?

The biggest majority of people that get infected with anything is Medical Staff First. They don't walk around the Hospital wearing masks 24-7. Many have poor hygeine also they are desenseitized.

The normal flu has killed more people this year than Mers.

This will NOT be the Pandemic that will spread around the globe. It does not have what it takes.

I wear gloves when I go to public places especially grocery shopping. Hardware stores etc. People may look at you funny but who cares. I discard them once outside before I enter my own vehicle.

Worry about Ebola. Everybody has forgotten about it and remember its in many countries right now killing people. That story was out before Mers and so soon people forget.

Finally some CDC Doom.

Friend from work has been out for 2 weeks in the hospital. All the symptoms, has had multiple visits for interviews with CDC, DoH, FBI, and so forth. They will not say its MERS though. His Dr. will only say its "unidentified" but he is in Quarantine.

Wonder how many other cases like this there are across the country? You really think that they would be putting out alerts to airports, and ramping up the MSM for only TWO cases?

The genie is out of the bottle and I am sure there are hundreds of "unconfirmed/unidentified" cases already. They just are not going public until they are ready to implement the lock down. Once the truth is out its going to be pandemonium.

If this is airborne, which I suspect it is, there are thousands of people who are sick right now in the US and don't even realize it yet.
