I don’t want to hijack this thread. Fukushima is the most important environmental concerns we have. It breaks my heart to see the fake environmentalism. Global warming and all. While death spews out of Fukushima day and night and hardly a word about it.
 Quoting: strgzr

its all good. Its all part of the GLP experience. Fukushima is just one part that we hold on to, crying out saying enough is enough. Yet, the environmentalists are silent. Why? where did they all go? Did they run away?

Where are they? I don't consider myself an environmentalist, More of a pro- developer, but here I am, Yelling at the top of my lungs about Fukushima, saying STOP THIS MADNESS.

This is not directly about fukushima- however there are some folks in this thread that may have some knowledge regarding some devestating news my sister just told me.
My 21 year old neice is 5 month s pregnant and herscan has come up aabnormal. :(:(:(
Baby has a club foot and kidneys are not developing properly. And she has to also do further testing as the scan also shows signs of the baby potentially having down syndrome.
She lives in a mining town in west qld (mt isa) where they mine uranium and lead practically at their front door.
She is so young. And scared.
I dont know what to say To her.
Does anyone know if living so close to these places have such affects?
Scientic evidence that can be explained to me that I understand. None is making sense and I just wish there was something I could tell her to take to fix it.

Look,

another fukushima leaky leak

About 4 tons of water was found in barriers surrounding the tanks. The water contained 9,800 Becquerels per liter of beta-ray emitting substances. But TEPCO officials said the leaked water had remained inside the barriers.
