But I don’t as I try to understand the teachings by reading the entire stories and I know that most you won’t go and kill new born babies just because of a passage in the OT. I won’t talk about the inquisition in the dark ages or similar atrocities perpetrated by your leaders but most of you imagine that we would hang a young Sudanese just for changing her religion. Some of us are extremists enough to do it but 95% of the others interpret differently the scriptures. F***ed up people exist in every religion.

What annoys me most is this: I grew up having a lot of Orthodox Christian friends and we would go on and share thoughts about how twisted the modern days are. We would share knowledge from our faith about how materialism relates to the end times and how the loss of family values, the Godlessness, the selfishness… are making humanity more and more sad in an era of technological progress. We had our arguments and clash of views but we had more things in common (belief in charity, modesty, hard work, family) than differences. But TPTB clearly wants its materialistic view to triumph, so it finances radicals on each camp so they can detest one another and never come up with alternative solutions to this crazy world we live in.
