I haven't smoked a cigarette for over a year and a half. But back when I DID smoke I had a friend's 7-year-old kid tell me (in a very arrogant and rude sort of way) that smoking was nasty and ruined HIS air. You need to understand that I NEVER smoked in front of them when they came to visit, and an hour before they got here I'd be opening the windows and turning on the floor fan so that they would not get any whiff of smoke. It took every ounce of self=control not to knock him into the wall. The mom was apologetic and said that he got that crap from school, and that he was always coming home and lecturing them on similar shit he was propagandized with at school. I replied that I wouldn't stand for it if I were them, to tell the teacher to keep her damned propaganda to herself, that encouraging my kid to be insolent was NOT her job, and let the kid know that the next time he tried to lecture ME for something which was none of his business he'd be picking himself up off the floor.
