Sitting around waiting to go long and bottoms and sell your long position at tops is a waste of time. And very few people are any good at calling tops and bottoms. |

We'll, thats exactly what I do and am doing pretty well at it. I am a trend follower, obviously. The recent rally from the end of the year to march and then the one from June till a week ago were huge profitable moves. I'd rather be in at close to the bottom as possible. Why wait until the rally is half done or worse, buy at the top? Maybe I dont understand your post but IMO patience is key for what I am doing. Admittingly I dont have the confidence to play inverse ETFs as much at the top because it scares me to be short a market that blasts off and gaps up like the miners have been doing. |

Quoting: Punk-A$$ets Trading equities is very dangerous due to the potential of large, daily gaps. If you are truly serious about trading you should consider moving on to Futures and also seeing if you can code an automatic trading system. By coding your system you can back test your ideas and see how they might have worked under a variety of market conditions. NinjaTrader is probably the best software to accomplish this. If you don't do these things you are asking to get crushed one day. It doesn't matter how well you have done so far. |

BRICS member economies have treid to base themselves on gold and other tangibles not fiat. Other countries are excited at the prospect of allying with BRICS and seeing the end of the corrupt IMF. Gold could hit 79000 an ounce and anything you want to buy will no longer be available . Anything you do buy will be taxed , priced gouged or blackmarketed to the point that your purchasing power will be eroded by 99 % , thats being optimistic. Hint 79000 gold will get you 790 dollars worth of stuff in 2014 prices. LOL |

So fuck it while others were stuffing their bunkers in the 80's 90's and onward. I been having a rocking ass good time with models and bottles , could shit off today at midnight with no regrets and no whining. Rather, it is more a question of the ongoing breakdown and collapse of the Western banking system and fiat “dollar.” That process has been well on its way for several years. It does not happen overnight, until after one night when you wake up, and it will have already happened. snippet from article i posted above, I think last Mondays drop was the us banks last ditch effort to shake the longs. Anonymous Coward User ID: 51836056 United States 07/19/2014 11:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You're welcome. Just FYI... Most traders are 'discretionary' traders who have a 'methodology' but who mistakenly believe they have a trading system. 95% of traders fall into this category and nearly all of them under perform or lose money in the end. Only system traders typically beat the market consistently. A system trader is a trader who has a 100% automated trading system. The reason system traders do so much better than discretionary traders who merely have a methodology is because system traders can test their systems many thousands of times, make changes and retest their systems many more thousands of times over a wide variety of markets and market conditions. They can also trade 24 hours per day or, in many cases, set their systems up to trade only intraday during the best possible trading hours for their particular system. They discover these best hours by back testing. |

Keep buying. Keep stacking. A 400% gain in the next 12 -24 months is not a stretch of anyone’s imagination. First things first, however, and the first thing we need to see is a breakout of the current TR. There should be no hesitation, however, in the ongoing purchase of the physical metals. None. Punk-A$$ets (OP) User ID: 30559668 United States 08/01/2014 12:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Check out Martin Armstrongs new post about the current markets. Here is the snippet for gold: "The closings for July were quite important in the long-run.Gold on a nearest futures basis closed July at 1281.30. Support during August will lie at the 124000 and resistance will form at 1285.00 on a closing basis with 1318.00 followed by 1350.00. We do not see a possible final low before Jan/Feb 2015. The uptrend line is about where the last lows were. This is typical and most standard chartists will see that break as bearish long-term. We need to break that support to see the towel thrown in by most. So we are still looking for a low under $1,000 and that could form as early as Jan/Feb. We will lay out the details going into September 2015 in the coming report." 6-7 months for THE possible low ladies and gentlemen. That aint too far off now. |
