Thanks for this thread, OP. I'm sorry you're going through this in your life. Damned hard, I know.

I am siting here right now waiting for word from my mother about the results of her bone marrow test. She was in remission with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. After a bad blood count test, we fear relapse. She will most likely chose not to fight on if this is the case, giving her a few month or weeks to live.

Hoping for the best for you and everybody else going through terminal health issues.

I am going this afternoon to be tested for kidney compatibility for a friend, 39, who is dying in the hospital from Wegeners Disease. Please pray for him and his wife and two very young children. They are devastated. Pray for my body to be the right match, please, and all will be as God wills it.

It is so wonderful that you came up with this thread!!!

Be strong with this cross of pain and sickness. The rivers deep and the banks are wide. I hope that you sail into calm waters, and find peace. You shine a light on the path some must walk and I thank you for that!! I can offer no medical advice
but I'm sure that there is a special place in Heaven for you and the multitudes that suffer.

Re: Support thread for those with cancer, terminal illness, or any life altering physical ailment. For caregivers as well
After reading this thread last night:

Thread: Hit the end of my rope, need some hope.

I felt there was a need/want for a thread for those of us who are seriously ill, caring for a loved one, or those whose health has changed their way of life.

I have seen in random threads that there are more of us that are fighting and I would like to see a thread where we can support others and get support in return, good news, bad news, whatever.

I am trying to include all. This thread can be a place to vent, share treatment options, cry, tell stories, etc.

There's also those of us who don't have a lot of support from family or friends who need us.

I'll start:

I have Stage IV melanoma, terminal. I am in the phase of care which is supposed to give me comfort and keep me free from pain as there is no cure for melanoma.

I started taking chemo meds which have just been approved by the FDA a few months ago. They helped to shrink my brain tumors and eradicate most of the lesions in my brain but they were making me feel terrible. So much so I had to go into the hospital 2 weeks ago.

Doctors advised I stop them or just take one at night..still on the fence as to whether I want to go back on them..quality of life vs quantity.

Then last week I had severe pain in my right flank and wound up at ER with internal bleeding, had to have 4 blood transfusions.

I wont go into extreme detail, just want us to be able to share with each other. Hope I didn't muck this up too much.

Very large doses of pure honey have cured many things, some miraculously, this is absolutely true. Honey is the best, most effective medicine in nature.

Say a prayer for the Lords healing over it first, with all faith, and you may supercharge its healing attributes.

I have not learned of the pepper till now, however. Thank you!

He's actually going to some big conference next week. Not everyone can afford to go to John's Hopkins so they do make all of their studies available.

Thanks for the info. And thanks to everyone who is supportive.

For those with cancer and other chronic illnesses, go to Gerson Institute. I am a physician with an out the box mentality and know that medicine and chemotherapy does not cure anything but either makes it worse, buys you little time or it can advance your condition. I have sent many people to the Gerson Institute with great results, specially on cancer patients. There is a documentary called: The Beautiful Truth that explains the whole history, why don't everyone knows about it and the reason why people have been brainwashed to use conventional medicine (i.e. surgery, radiation, chemo) to "treat"/"cure" it.

I hope this finds the right person and helps him/her greatly. It feels good as a physician to actually see results and gets a high on other peoples successes with battling chronic diseases.

Spreading good karma to all of you, take care.
