Hi there,

First of all, nice thread. Just room for stories, for whatever's the need. Everybody best of luck and lots of strenght in this crazy reality.

I too have cancer, cervixcancer in first stage (1A2 FIGO stage). I've had minor surgery to remove the suspicious cells and it turned out to be invasive cancer but the tumor was not too big and was totally removed already. However,I will be scheduled for removal of the uterus, and somehow I just didn't expect this. If the tumor is gone, the cancer is gone, I thought, but now I know I was being naive.

I am 35 years old, and thanks to God I already have a beautifull child of almost ten years old. I am dealing with Ehlers Danlos (connective tissue disease) since her birth, and thought that was my 'challenge' in health. Now I know that there's no rules to the game of health... I have severe chronic pain which isn't life-threathening, and I have a life-threathening disease which I don't feel and which is discovered by five-yearly standard test...

Will be weird, to be without uterus, however, I do realise that I am Lucky to have such favorite (??!!??) circumstances to my cancer and that this was discovered in time to minimize the risk so many other people are facing.

First time for me, since this is on my path to write it down...

No, it won't be weird without a uterus. I had a full hysterectomy at 33 and yes, it is a painful surgery, but you will recover and be fine. Please don't worry about it too much.
