Genetically, humans receive 50.3% of their DNA from their mother (the additional 0.3% is attributable to the inherited mitochondrial DNA only transmitted from mother to unborn infant) and 49.7% of their DNA from their father.

Therefore, the following mixed-race Americans should be identified more so by the race of their mother than by the race of their father:

Asian American: Elliot Rodger (British-born), Tiger Woods, etc.

White American: Halle Berry, Norah Jones, Barack Obama, etc.

Not to do so would be sexist and culturally paternalistic...
