the hot dogs they cooked in grade school on hot dog day we got them once a month they would cook up about 2000 hot dogs in the same water then wrap in wax paper and then put in Styrofoam coolers to set for a couple of hours before they were served the best in the world you dit not even need condiments just a dog on a bun

Not too keen on the mayo, but the rest sounds tasty! Maybe I'll give it a try for supper tomorrow night.

When I was little I ate LOTS of hot dogs (that probably explains a lot!) and my favorite way that Mom fixed them was she sliced the hot dog lengthwise almost all the way through, then she took strips of Kraft American cheese and inserted them into the slits. Then she'd broil them but not right next to the broiler so that by the time the cheese melted and browned the hot dog would be cooked too. And served with a side of ketchup.

She used to make a hot dog casserole too, hot dogs sliced mixed with either baked beans or pork-n-beans, put in a casserole dish and topped with cornbread batter with grated cheese mixed in, and baked until the cornbread was cooked.

That was a long time ago, I think hot dogs tasted better (and were better for you) back then - - it seemed like EVERYONE ate them as part of their regular diet.

oscar meyer select beef or turkey hot dogs blow all the rest away as they are nitrate and preservitive free, i do not know how they do it as all hotdogs look the same to me but they got WEINNERS hands down! espexcially on the barbi!!!!!!!!!!!
