This story has been percolating since 2007 when the Muslim American Society (MAS) purchased 30 acres next to Craig Baker’s 200-year-old pig farm in Katy, Texas, with plans to build a mosque. Baker alleges MAS spokesman Kamel Foutouh suggested he move the pigs elsewhere, then according to Baker, Foutouh called him a liar at a community meeting. Baker started Friday night pig-races at 5 pm, the time for traditional Muslim prayers. The pig races ended two years ago. Today a couple of prefabs abide with the pig farm, one for prayers and one an Islamic school. On the place where the pig races were held, a Cross and the Star of David is staked in plain sight.
