Real supernova cannot be created by laser implosion in a lab. It's source of energy is hyper-dimentional.

They vaporized some rods instantaneously with lasers, that is what they did, not create a model of a super nova....


So what they are saying is, we hit some carbon with a really intense beam of electromagnetic energy which then turned into a gas and distributed through the experiment chamber in a way that "LOOKS" like what we see in a super nova.... so if anything they jsut went on to support the Electric Universe Theory that says that super novas are electrical phenomenon by using an electrical process to mimic expanding gas from a super nova.....


Not trying to say it isn't cool in its own right but I mean come on, the process they describe is nothing like a supposed super nova event, I mean how ridiculous, we observe supernovas and we can see they are not uniform explosions so what did we learn from this?

Which super nova model does this support? It's hardly science but I guess what should I expect out of something that's really just designed to impress people who don't really know the process...

I think you miss the point of the expression. It's a common saying in science. That doesn't mean you throw the data out automatically.
