Wife APPRECIATION thread - if you hate your wife make your own thread!

I've been married to my wife for 8 years and I still love her looks, smile and intelligence. I married a lovely art-geek girl and I couldn't have chosen better. She's such a great match for me both emotionally and intellectually. She doesn't bring in much money, but her free and good natured spirit soothes my soul that grinds away every day in a soulless corporate machine. She takes care of the house and herself, and I love to see her living free to pursue her own interests without having to worry about money or career. She's my anchor to real life and whenever I am in danger of becoming a true corporate drone hellbent on money and position, her sight reminds me of what's really important in life.

Some shallow people have criticized me for not requiring her to get a job, but financial security is merely my inadequate return gift to her for what she's given me by simply being in my life. There are (and will be) no kids for medical reasons and I make more than enough money for the two of us - asking her to get a mind-dulling 9-5 job would be obscene. If there's a purpose to life, it's being free to pursue your own interests like art, music or knowledge without having to constantly fight for the mundane stuff. I'm so glad that I can help my wife to live like that.

I love to fall asleep next to her warm body, hear her quiet breathing in the morning and watch her beautiful face when she sleeps contently. Sometimes I simply watch her creating her art until she gets annoyed at my staring and throws something at me. I'm so proud that she chose me and that I can be there for her when she's having a bad day.

She's got an artist's temper and passion both in and out of bed and I love it, too. Demure, quiet and submissive women never appealed to me. I need someone who's not afraid to scream at me that I am an asshole or an idiot when she feels offended. It only means that she feels safe with me and our marriage. She doesn't sulk, but gets it out of her system at once.

She keeps a lovely house and garden, has introduced me to interesting people I would have never met otherwise and has made me a better person in every aspect. The only regret I have is that I didn't meet her earlier.
