Japan is not the only country to send its nuclear waste to the USA.

Other nations are doing so, too...with Obama's blessing.

So the USA is becoming the world's nuclear dumping site.

No wonder US radiation readings are going up all over the country.

Plus there are inadequate monitoring of the radiation spikes by the EPA.

For instance there is no EPA monitor at Diablo Canyon.

German nuclear waste headed to South Carolina site.

FROM ARTICLE:

5:08 p.m. CDT, June 4, 2014

By Harriet McLeod

CHARLESTON S.C. (Reuters) - The U.S. Department of Energy said on Wednesday it will study the environmental risk of importing spent nuclear fuel from Germany that contains highly enriched uranium, a move believed to be the first for the United States.

The department said it is considering a plan to ship the nuclear waste from Germany to the Savannah River Site, a federal facility in South Carolina.

The 310-acre site already holds millions of gallons of high-level nuclear waste in tanks. The waste came from reactors in South Carolina that produced plutonium for nuclear weapons from 1953 to 1989.

Some critics question whether the department has fully developed a clear plan to dispose of the radioactive waste."They're proposing to extract the uranium and reuse it as fuel by a process that has never been done before," said Tom Clements, president of SRS Watch, a nuclear watchdog group in South Carolina.

Should the U.S. be a dump for foreign nuclear waste?
EnergySolutions, the largest commercial nuclear waste dump in the U.S., is asking the Nuclear Regulatory
Commission (NRC) for permission to import 20,000 tons of low‐level nuclear waste from defunct nuclear
reactors in Italy.
The waste would be shipped through ports in South Carolina and Louisiana, incinerated in Tennessee, and the
incinerator ash and a portion of non‐incinerated waste would be sent to Utah for disposal.
EnergySolutions’ proposal is the largest of its kind, and the first time a company has specifically asked to dispose
large quantities of foreign generated nuclear materials in the U.S. Moreover, the plan would set a precedent for
the U.S. to become the world’s nuclear waste dump!

We take the waste & turn it into depleted munitions, shells, bombs & bullets. Then we pepper an entire country with tiny .50 caliber nuclear detonations.

Death by a thousand paper-cuts.. 5 bullshit wars & six low level open air nuclear waste dumps. Give it 5-10 years for those populations to die off & all those resources are free for the picking.

Pretty slick ..eh.

I understand why you say that sir. This is the only thing i can say to you.

I am a son of a Nuclear systems engineer. My father has dealt with this stuff for the last 30 years. The family he has created lives 20 miles from the where it first gets shipped to. Yes i am a big fan of glp, and also this mans offspring. I know my father and i share the same goal to be informed and educated with the best intentions of making sure our family, brothers, neighbors, and planet is healthy and well. This man has dedicated his life on making sure what he deals with as far as nuclear waste is safe and the well concealed for the well being of future generations for this earth. I know this because he created me and he would not have if he didn't know couldn't protect me some how some way. There a lot of amazing men out there just like my father. I hope you can have faith in them, they will protect us (he won't let nuclear waste hurt me, you, or our children). Btw i haven't even had kids yet but these guys will make sure they won't be born with 4 legs. =)

So basically the entire world is shipping their nuclear waste to the USA, but OP picked germany for the thread title?

Thats racist!!
