They just got done showing a retired general supporting common core saying many young service members are not up to standards.

Blame the parents at home not the curriculum.

Common Core is pure crap. It needs to be scrapped in its entirety. Fortunately it is in many places like OK.

I am against common core. I meant don't blame the current curriculum Oklahoma has always used. It's worked fine all these years and it will continue as long as parents are involved once the kids come home. Lots don't checkup on theirs kids until report cards are sent home.

While I agree the Common Core Program sucks, but I don't agree with Ok. Gov. saying we NEED A MORE RIGOROUS STANDARDS. Ok, my two children right now come home with 3-5 homework assignments a night, have to study for a test the next day. Mind you that this is 3rd Grade, and 4th Grade.

This friggen Governor wants The process of developing new, higher standards, as if school isn't hard enough for an average child???? These kids now are being forced to learn one grade level above the level they are suppose to be learning.

For example: My son had two weeks of multiplecation and division, but yet, he doesn't even know them??? He was giving over 10 Major Tests in two weeks for this type of math when he hasn't even learned his tables???


I think we need to slow the hell down, and allow the children to learn at their pace. Every child deserves a good education, but just DON'T SHOVE IT DOWN THEIR THROATS IN ONE DAY!!!!
