I wonder if it would be worth doing a bit of local, informal research. To collect info from your neighbours.

I got prostate cancer my son has cancer showing up in his lungs, neighbor has breast cancer, others around us have cancer but not sure what type, its popping up all over, all ages.

I would think the "decommissioned" Humboldt Bay nuclear power plant to be the more likely culprit. Eureka always has high background readings.
Fukashima has not helped, but the thing is right there.

Sorry to hear your news. Check into cancer clusters. Nuke events ie: testing sites, storage sites and from power lines. Lots of clusters develop along power lines.

I recall some pancake place in Jamaica (?) across the bridge by what was at that time the Red Lion - it was supposed to be related to a former logging camp/area (?)
I saw waterworld at the movie theater in Eureka and Deadman at the movie theater in Arcata
I recall the Denny's in Eureka and a big used/antique furniture place across from it and I also recall the lost coast brewery
I recall a quasi sensational murder in the news in nearby fairlee (?)
I saw chris farley attend mass at the catholic church in eureka and the priest said do we have any out of town visitors and chris stood up and said "hi I'm chris from chicago" he was wearing glasses and was recognizable if you knew who he was - he was supposedly nearby filming some comedy with matthew perry (?) based on lewis and clarke

as far as the gulf goes.my mom lives four hours from it and i live five hours.the fumes caused folks to have respatory problems from it.the msm blamed it on pollen.folks were getting sick as far a five hours from shore line.in east texas for a month or more.i didnt get sick but i could smell it.
