Take care of the old and widowed. Feed and heal the sick. Follow His commandments and pray for others, it seems there are indeed "works" that Christians must do. We do not do good works and help others to be saved. We help others and do good works because we are saved. We do not keep the commandments to be saved. We keep the commandments because we are saved. Who was arguing it is? We were speaking to the KJV bible being authentic. Was the thief on the cross not saved in a moment? To say that their is not an exact moment of conversion is just silly. Yes our faith is worked out and strengthened throughout our lives, but there is indeed an exact moment in our lives when we become His. When we become "born again" of the Spirit. And of course we can choose to forsake His commandments and refuse His sacrifice and lose our standing. But this is not what those verses were speaking. |

We are saved by faith and works with the help of God's grace. Go ahead and work your way to Gods Kingdom as in doing so you are agreeing that Jesus death and resurrection was not enough to save you from your fallen nature and now you have to do something to make it work. You can do nothing, hence His death to save that which was lost. So your faith is in your ability to do enough good to counter balance your bad deeds - do you keep a record and how will you know when you have earned enough points to get your gold star? As the KJB explains, good works are following salvation, it is only your godly duty, as now your direction in life has been changed, it is the meaning of repent. It shows forth your repentance and who you believe, it does not make you worthy by works, salvation is a gift, no strings attached, which most humans can not understand, because most humans give to get. |

Yes, there is a true Bible, the Latin Vulgate, Jerome translated from the original writings. "Rome", you just stated the Bible is Catholic. The printing press was a later invention. Bibles were first handwritten, there were not many of them. The "locked up" is an excuse for the real reason. Bibles were scarce before the printing press. God bless you, |

The KJB was written so the people might have a Bible in their own language, not in dead Latin that required a false priesthood to interpret it for them since it was illegal to own a Bible in their own language on penalty of death by the usurpers of Gods True Church, the Holy Roman Empire, that spent their energy in trying to wipe out all Christians that would not bow to a mere dirt man and eat a cookie and call it Jesus when they began to read Gods Word.
