I recall someone here recently calling the market top about 1000 dow points ago.

I cannot comment about today however I have a family member traveling in France who, without warning, was denied use of her credit card and/or debit card anywhere in France yesterday. She met many other Americans at the automatic gas pumps who were experiencing the same thing.

Because it was Sunday all banks were closed and she was forced to ask a store owner to buy her gas. His credit card worked just fine in the automatic gas pump.

As she went through a toll booth it would also not accept her credit card. A young man came to help her and he told her he had been told American debit/credit cards would not be accepted "anymore". He was as shocked as my family member.

As I said, she has not informed if today, a business day, they are accepting American credit/debit cards.
