First it is a bible study in someone's living room. Then the guy's house becomes a church. The house has a chapel added on. Then comes the daycare (not free). Next comes the school (not free). Apparently the congregation is so absorbed by the preacher they don't notice he is living off of them. Money just pours in. They convince people in order to spread God's work they need between 10 and 15% of their income, and they get that and more. They convince old people to leave lots of money when they die. Behind all this is successful bookkeeping, cash donations off the books and all sorts of creative expenses to enrich a few church members. Dirtyboy Think beyond impossible. |
