Illegal, but Not Undocumented
Identity Theft, Document Fraud, and Illegal Employment
By Ronald W. Mortensen June 2009

this Backgrounder examines illegal immigration-related document fraud and identity theft that is committed primarily for the purpose of employment. It debunks three common misconceptions: illegal aliens are “undocumented;” the transgressions committed by illegal aliens to obtain jobs are minor; and illegal-alien document fraud and identity theft are victimless crimes. It discusses how some community leaders rationalize these crimes, contributing to a deterioration of the respect for laws in our nation, and presents a variety of remedies, including more widespread electronic verification of work status (E-Verify and the Social Security Number Verification Service) and immigrant outreach programs to explain the ramifications and risks of document fraud and identity theft.

"Immigration Reform" Equals Amnesty for Illegal Aliens and Their Employers
Led by Senator Marco Rubio, the "Gang of Eight" is attempting to hide the fact that their "comprehensive immigration reform" bill would provide amnesty for illegal aliens and their employers.

Sen. Marco Rubio
Rubio argues that illegal aliens would not be forgiven of past, harmless infractions, but would be required to pay for them. However, a review of the bill shows that the token penalties, when they do exist, are not commensurate with the employment-related felonies committed by the vast majority of illegal aliens, nor are they commensurate with the benefits received by illegal aliens. The penalties are, therefore, no more than thinly veiled attempts to hide the amnesty provisions of S. 744.

SERIOUS CRIMES OF ILLEGAL ALIENS IN JUST ONE YEAR
December 9, 2010 , by Tom Dickerson

hese aliens were all in the country illegally, and many of them had previous encounters with law enforcement agencies. But they were not deported or in some cases were deported but reentered the country.

Better prevention from illegal immigration is a public safety issue.

This is a long, long list…

November 2010

— Ingmar Guandique, a Salvadoran illegal alien, was convicted of the murder in 2001 of Chandra Levy, a congressional staff member. Guandique was previously convicted of sexual assault on two other women in Rock Creek Park in Washington DC and was serving time in prison at the time of his murder conviction. (Washington Post, November 23, 2010)

— A Guatemalan illegal alien, Heydeman Armando Argueta-Godoy, who had been previously deported, was sentenced in Reno, Nevada to prison for attempted kidnapping of a jogger and teenage girls.

7 Horrible Crimes Committed In America by Illegal Aliens

sually when we talk about the harm illegal aliens do to Americans, we discuss the economic issues. They take jobs from Americans, they depress wages, they use services without paying taxes, they have kids here to leech off the taxpayers….it goes on and on. We also talk about the rule of law. After all, we already have a “path to citizenship” and it’s called following the law. Why should we reward people whose first act on our soil was breaking our law with American citizenship when everyone knows they’re supposed to be deported? With so many Americans out of work, does the country really need another 10 million people, most of whom are uneducated manual laborers who wouldn’t even be paying income tax if they were citizens? Do we really want to import more poverty into the country instead of bringing in law-abiding immigrants who’d add to the tax base?
