To rule the 'world' you have to rule Babylon, the Caliphate will rule the world next shortly until the Chinese

In the age of the earliest Sumerian chieftains, those who wanted to proclaim themselves a true king of the land had to rule Kish, as ordained by the gods, the Annunakim.

The first true empire of the civilized world was the Akkadian empire of Sargon. Akkadian comes from Akkad, the nearby capital that replaced Kish.

After the Amorites rose in Mesopotamia, the forefathers of today's Islamic militants, they changed the capital from Akkad to Babilu (Babylon) next door. From whence we still call this region that name since classical times.

Every world conquerer like Cyrus of Anshan, Darius the Persian, Alexander the Great ruled Babylon. And when Alexander's empire was split, Seleucus evolved Babylon into Seleucia, which was then evolved to Ctesiphon by the Parthians, and finally one more time to Baghdad by the original Caliphate.

Through all these changes Kish-Akkad-Babylon-Seleucia-Ctsiphon-Baghdad was the nexus of world power, which is why modern day nations like the USA want to have a hold of it. Now it will be conquered by another entity who aim to rule from the tip of Spain to the end of Indonesia and create an Islamic world empire. Everyone who is destined to have domain over Babylon has always been ordained with almost godly power in battle when conquering the land. Not even a modern first world army would have been capable of moving into Baghdad at this speed.
