Re: ISRAEL-GAZA 50-Day War
Mark Twain visited Israel in 1867, and published his impressions in Innocents Abroad. He described a desolate country – devoid of both vegetation and human population:

“….. A desolate country whose soil is rich enough, but is given over wholly to weeds… a silent mournful expanse…. a desolation…. we never saw a human being on the whole route…. hardly a tree or shrub anywhere. Even the olive tree and the cactus, those fast friends of a worthless soil, had almost deserted the country.”

“A fast walker could go outside the walls of Jerusalem and walk entirely around the city in an hour. I do not know how else to make one understand how small it is.”

Re: ISRAEL-GAZA 50-Day War
bunch of hypocrites.
almost all of you are war mongering freaks that get exited over every little explosion fed to them from a live cam on the other side of the world.

I have no hate in me just TRUTH.
you all live in some fantasy land, and don't understand a tiny bit of this conflict.

there can never be peace with a "nation" that has no history and identity.
and I'm sick of war, so either put an end to them or kick them the hell out.
 Quoting: Lion Zion

I agree with you. I just don't know if there is any good answers. I don't have any.
 Quoting: MAEGTONLEVER

Agreed. If it isn't dealt with now, it will just continue.

For those who say that this is war mongering genocide...What would doing nothing hold in the years to come? Do you honestly think there will be flowers and singing kumbaya?

No. It would be year after year of the same thing that we're seeing now.

Like the old saying goes...Ripping the band aid off fast causes the least amount of pain. Sometimes the answer IS just that simple. But it DOESN'T mean we enjoy it.

Mark Twain could not have visited Israel in 1867 because there was no Israel. I can call Houston Lakota if I want, but it's still Houston. You live in Occupied Palestine and support a terrorist regime that has attacked my country numerous times

It makes me miserable that people are having their lives upended, or lost. I am in no position to fix it, so I just hope for the best, and prepare for the worst.

All I can do is give everyone I know good treatment, and wish them well.

Sometimes, I can't even do that right.

hugs people are nasty - they are the one's that fuel the conflict and make war possible, they envoke the hate that comes to them because that's what they project out in the world. What goes around comes around. Try to distance yourself from that as much as you can. I'm just shaking my head at some of the posters in here, and feel sorry for them because they're clearly lost.
