He is in Gaza. He has shared his views that are basically in support of Palestine and making Israel sound really bad. For a reporter his opinions are very biased

So one of those "infiltration" reports was about them gliding in somewhere? Did they kill anyone?

This is pretty obvious to anyone who consciously tries to be objective which is really difficult since there are so many "voices" all clamoring for their side; and because of the "pros" who know how to affect other people's behavior and especially emotions. We are bombarded from every side with "news stories", "special interest stories", and "opinions" all designed to get a rise out of us. I have read every single page of this thread (which I rarely do) and have been tossed to and fro with every post which has made it VERY difficult to stay in the middle. Actually, I'm not even in the middle either, since I try to stay "outside" of the emotional roller coaster ride. We are all human and we all react in very predictable ways if we do not "control" our own emotions.

I was fortunate enough to grow up in a small city (25,000) which had Jews, Syrians, Lebanese, Catholics in abundance all living side by side. I loved them all. I grew up to "hate" priests because of the molestation of my two brothers, but I did not "hate" Catholics because of a "few" who were depraved. There were Jews who would pinch a penny, but there were also down-to-earth (even though rich) friends who I came to respect. The Syrians and Lebanese were fascinating cultures and I especially loved watching an old Syrian grandmother make bread in her cellar.

I have no doubt in my mind that even "Hamas" members could be very close friends under different circumstances. It's really all about "circumstances" and the REAL actors in this play of hate and discontent. It amazes me that so many people in today's world harbor such hate--even within family units. If it were not for the "ability" I developed when working with juveniles to "shut off" the emotional tsunami they lived every day, I would have been a wreck. The pain was awful. The hatred and bitterness was so palpable that it was almost impossible not to be affected by it. As an authority figure, it took EVERYTHING to stay neutral so that real progress could be made in their lives. It's almost impossible to be neutral in this world today. I left the field when I could stomach the "staff" no more. I never had a problem with a child. It was the "adults" which were difficult. A child CAN change. It is VERY DIFFICULT for adults to accept change.

Unfortunately, I am BEGINNING to see the mercy in the Biblical account of the destruction of all the armies of the world--even those of my beloved America. I "think" I understand. I think I know the truth. I think I know the way. I've been fooled before. I'll probably be fooled again. That's ok. I've learned not to judge. One thing has come home to me very clearly. We cannot prove a "positive" with negatives. God cannot be shown clearly by showing all the evil in the world. Pointing out shortcomings, evils, and personal problems will never lead anyone to the truth about life, themselves, nor solve any problems. It is by EXAMPLE that we teach. I put this in practice in a juvenile institution used to incarcerating and punishing instead of loving and nurturing. I could use no "religious instructions", no spiritual training, or no "Scripture" to guide them. I could only use the principles involved and APPLY them. It worked so effectively that I was singled out because the institution was losing too many heads.

My heart is breaking for all that is happening, but I am not surprised in the least. All is as it should be and foretold by many far greater than me. One thing is very clear. "Israel" is in Israel, it is in Palestine, it is in Russia, it is in North Korea, it is in Iran, and in every other place in the world where there are those who do not get caught up in this emotional nightmare and pick up the pieces and go on. There are many more than any one would expect right here on GLP. Hopefully, some day we will realize that we are all on this boat together. The world would be a sad, lonely place without Palestinians, Jews, and every other marginalized people. I know justice is coming, but I have no part in it because we are human and we do not do justice very well. My rant is over. I need to drag myself away from this madness--as much as it fascinates me. Many in this thread have done an exceptional job in staying true to themselves. That makes me happy.

It's more than just that, though(hell, I'm just barely smart enough to know that I don't know much) & includes, as I & others have said before, Israelis, both in & out of the gov.

It's also quite interesting, at least to me, to see what the Lame Stream Media is being fed, to regurgitate to the sheeping masses. This REEKS of internal conflict & distraction. It's been used entirely to often, here in the US(more so under Ohbunghole's reign than any other pres that I can recall), to not be noticed by anyone who is not glued to their iPhone &/or the next season of Dancing with the Next America's Got Talent.
