The lands that the settlers build on are 'disputed' lands.

Y'israel builds settlements in areas they gained in the Arab wars against Y'israel but the palestinians and the UN don't recognize Y'israels' claim to it.

Y'israel has vacated several of these settlements and torn down the houses to placate world opinion.

Thanks Jazzy, why doesn't Israel just stop allowing settlers to build on these lands the UN doesnt accept, and then show the world they have agreed to the rules. I think the reason why people feel so anti Israel is because of these illegal settlements. Surely then the Palestinian situation could move forward, without all this violence.

Just to add...some of these settlements were farming communities that both the Y'israeli and Palestinians peoples worked together. And they did so amicably.

There was one that had abundantly producing greenhouses. But, because of pressure, Y'israel tore down the settlement, much to the sorrow of all the workers.

After it was vacated, hamass came in, destroyed the greenhouses and used the materials from them to make rocket launchers.

Hope Hamas will realisze this too

If some turd in the UN decides that your town has been designated as a Palestinian Islamic area and all non Muslims are no longer allowed to live or build on that land, would you agree?

The UN screeches when Jews build in Jerusalem, as they and the OIC have deemed it Islamic "Palestinian" land.

That's all you need to know. They are trying to use politics where repeated wars of annihilation have failed.

The UN does nothing to solve this conflict.
In fact the even progress other confict with their rediculous veto rights Security Council.
